Beginner
Prerequisites
:No
previous experience with copper metal clay is necessary.
Program
:
An
afternoon lasting approximately 8 hours in order for you to
learn the basic techniques of working with copper clay and creating
several small pieces of jewelry, such as pendants, earrings
or charms. You'll also be working with a small hand torch to
fire your pieces.
The
techniques include :
Learning
the properties of copper clay
rolling
out the clay to an even thickness
using
the various necessary tools for working with metal clays
cutting
forming
assembling
use
of liquid paste (slurry)
use
of texture sheets
techniques
of drying
refining
before firing
torch
firing
refining
and polishing your jewelry after firing
